What do you see?

What do you hear?

Where are you based?

The hardest thing I can think of is to try to fulfill God's goals without first seeing what he sees. It is near impossible, if not totally so.

However, it is very possible to do good things for God or on behalf of his Kingdom without going through 'seeing what God sees', or even relying on his power. But that is just what your deeds would be: good things. And that's ok - as long as you are still an infant in God, that is.

But this blog is for leaders in the Kingdom of God.

The moment we become adults in this God-life, we must (if we haven't already) realize that the true children of God are those who let God’s Spirit lead them - (Romans 8:14). As Jesus categorically said: ''...without me you can achieve nothing.'' John 15:5

The good thing is that he explained how we would be guided by him :

''However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.'' John 16:13-14 NKJV

This means the Spirit of truth will bring glory to Jesus by directing us in this present time by (or with) the instructions he receives from Jesus.

This is how collaboration with YHWH functions in the Kingdom:

While on earth, Jesus spoke what he had 'seen in the Father’s presence' and did ''nothing by himself'' only ''what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does'' and before he left, he told us ''when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth'' and he will ''take of what is Mine and declare it to you''. [John 8:38, John 5:19, John 16:13-15]

In other words, Jesus sees the Father's visions and plans and communicates them to us via the (holy) Spirit given to us. This implies that seeing and hearing from God means we are seeing and hearing under the direction of the Holy Spirit.

Therefore,

What do you see?

What do you hear?

And where are you based?

By 'where are you based?' I mean from what position in your spirit and soul (inner man) do you stand to observe this world and all its happenings? This is important because it determines our outlook, understanding, and judgment.

Isaiah prophesied this about the coming Messiah:'' And he will delight in the fear of the Lord.

He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears;'' Isaiah 11:3

And this is what Jesus said to the Jews who did not understand his words: ''But he continued, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.''John 8:23

They could not understand him because they reasoned and made judgments like everyone else on earth - just by their five senses - from their position as men on earth. Jesus, however, judged life on earth from his position as being one with God who lives in heaven. He appraised all he did and said from that vantage point.

Jesus exemplified how to live as a child of God while on earth: we are to live from the point of view of the Father i.e. God.

As Paul the Apostle said:

''Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.'' Romans 8:7-8

All through this journey, the Lord keeps showing us his view for this time in our generation. Till we are still (i.e. quiet enough to hear) in his presence and we take the time needed to see ourselves from his perspective, we will not 'get it'. And if we do not 'get it' we cannot run with it.

Here is his vision:

''In the last days

the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established

as the highest of the mountains;

it will be exalted above the hills,

and peoples will stream to it.

2 Many nations will come and say,

“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,

to the temple of the God of Jacob.

He will teach us his ways,

so that we may walk in his paths.

The law will go out from Zion,

the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.'' Micah 4:1-2

Have you seen this?

Are you listening to his voice in your spirit? From what position are you judging words, events and timings?

Have you considered even the tremendous opportunities God has made available to us in this time? And the tremendous good that will come into the spirit and lives of those around us if we take advantage of this opportunity to 'fill the earth …with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.'. Can we come higher above our fleshly desires and perceptions to put his sovereign plan first?

God believes in us and we have his scriptures and Holy Spirit to guide us. All that remains is that we take the step to position ourselves in Him and then start to do what we see our Father doing.

''But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. ''Matthew 6:33

''He told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables'' Mark 4:11
